A. P. Shah Institute of Technology wanted an integrated environment for 3D design, simulation, digital manufacturing, product lifecycle management and collaboration.
Challenges
The institute wanted to reduce prototype iterations, remove tool silos, enable concurrent teamwork and reduce dependence on hard-copy project documents.
Approach
With training and support from SOLIZE India, the Mechanical Engineering department implemented the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for product data management, model-based design, concurrent engineering, digital continuity and virtual simulation.
Benefits
Students gained exposure to an industry-deployed digital product development platform and practices including product data management, digital continuity and virtual twins.
